Ian Cochran’s Successful $10K Campaign
When Ian Cochran set out to launch his campaign on Gigmor, the goal was bigger than simply raising money: it was about building a compelling story around the project and giving supporters a meaningful reason to get involved.
Ian was selected as one of ten artists to participate in Gigmor’s launch of Gigfunder, its new crowdfunding platform created specifically to help artists bring their creative projects to life.
The campaign supported Ian’s transition from lead singer of Cowboy Diplomacy to solo artist. He planned to record his debut solo project at Parsonics Studios, working with legendary producer and engineer Alan Parsons, known for his work on landmark recordings including "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be."
The fundraising goal was designed to help cover the costs of recording, mixing, mastering, and releasing the music out into the world, giving Ian the resources to take this next step as an independent artist.
Gillian Jean Creative helped Ian develop the strategy, offerings, storytelling, and campaign goals behind the Gigfunder campaign. The focus was on translating Ian’s artistic vision into a campaign that connected with his existing fans while making the opportunity to support his next chapter feel personal and exciting.
The response was clear: 81 fans stepped up in six weeks, contributing more than $10,000 toward Ian’s solo debut.
Ian’s campaign is a great example of what can happen when artists combine a strong creative vision with intentional fundraising strategy, and invite their community to become part of the journey.
