Last week, GJC Founder Gillian Jean had the pleasure of attending Spotify’s Created By Women Summit — a beautiful celebration of the women, leaders and trailblazers shaping the music industry.

From a surprise appearance by legendary songwriter Diane Warren to an intimate conversation with St. Vincent, the day was filled with inspiring conversations and empowering connections.

Alongside the celebration, the Summit highlighted an important industry-wide conversation: closing the gender parity gap in music. With the latest data continuing to highlight the inequalities that remain, there is a clear opportunity — and responsibility — for the industry to turn information into action.
